Celebration of the 2023 communal festival in Bukemba: Hon. Nkurunziza Fabrice and Mr. Nibitanga Olivier present
Burunga (Rutana, Bukemba Commune), 5/08/2023 – Saturday, Hon. Nkurunziza Fabrice, Vice President of the Senate of Burundi, and Mr. Nibitanga Olivier, Governor of Rutana, marked the 2023 communal holiday by visiting their native commune. This event is part of the internal policy of the Barundi, in particular that of decentralization.
Welcomed warmly by Mrs. Twagirayezu Françoise, communal administrator of Bukemba, the political dignitaries gathered with joy in the company of all the imiryango of the locality. The occasion was favorable to share friendly moments around ugwagwa and typical dishes of their respective regions.
This celebration was welcomed by the participants, who expressed their gratitude for the existence of this communal festival, allowing all the imiryango of Bukemba and the surrounding area to meet and discuss the socio-economic issues that concern them.
