Recent rumors are circulating in the international press about possible changes that Honda is planning for the next versions of the Africa Twin. These speculations have left motorcycle enthusiasts anxious and curious about what’s to come.

According to documents recently approved in Switzerland, Honda is betting on some interesting attributes for its iconic adventurer. One of the possible new features is a variant of the motorcycle equipped with a 19-inch front wheel.

This change suggests that, in the coming years, the Africa Twin could gain a version more suitable for use on roads, coexisting with the traditional versions equipped with a 21-inch front wheel, which are aimed at off-road.

Furthermore, the documents also indicate that the future generation of the Africa Twin could be up to 3 kg heavier than the current model. This could be an indication that Honda is adopting new technologies and features, such as radar monitoring and adaptive cruise control, features already present in some of Honda’s main big trail competitors.

Another possible modification is the length of the suspensions, which could be shortened by 25 mm. This change can be applied especially to the variant with a smaller front wheel. Consequently, this could affect the bike’s wheelbase, reducing it to 1,570 mm, according to the Swiss documents.

However, it’s important to remember that, for now, these are all just rumors. To confirm these speculations and find out if the Africa Twin will really bring these new features, we will have to wait for the Milan Motor Show in November. At this event, Honda will certainly present its main global launches and trends for the future.

In the meantime, Africa Twin fans and motorcycle enthusiasts can continue speculating and imagining what the next generations of Honda’s iconic big trail bike will be like. Stay tuned for updates and prepare for great emotions in the world of two wheels.
