Honda reveals the arrival of the 2024 version of the CBR 1000RR-R Fireblade model on the market.

Created by the HRC division, the Honda Racing Corporation, specialized in creating high-performance motorcycles, the big news is the addition of a new color option: Black (Mat Pearl Morion Black), which creates a striking contrast in relation to the already existing Fireblade, such as the Red Grand Prix, inspired by the look of the official Honda team’s bikes in the Superbike World Championship, and the “30th Anniversary Edition,” with graphics on a pearly white background, a tribute to the pioneering Fireblade from 1992.

The combination of red, blue and white, the traditional “Honda colors”, always evokes the brand’s rich history of success on the track, the most successful in all motorcycling categories. In this new version, matte black contrasts with glossy black, with subtle touches of silver and gold in the graphics, as well as impressive details, such as gold wheels and front suspension, which harmonize with the titanium gray of the Akrapovic exhaust tip. This combination gives the Fireblade a remarkable aesthetic exclusivity.

In this set, the HRC logos on the front fairing and the Honda badge on the tank with a red background, reserved for high-performance/technology models considered as “flagship,” gain even more prominence, consolidating itself as one of the most attractive versions of the Fireblade already produced.

On the technical side, the new color option follows the same formula as the Fireblade launched at the beginning of the year, incorporating Honda’s most advanced technology under the “Total Control” concept, introduced with the pioneering Fireblade in 1992. This concept emphasizes extreme maneuverability and ease of piloting, aiming for superior performance on tracks.

The four-cylinder in-line engine of the Honda CBR 1000RR-R Fireblade SP offers a power of 216.2 hp at 14,500 rpm and a torque of 11.5 kgf.m at 12,500 rpm. This engine has forged aluminum pistons, titanium connecting rods and an architecture that prioritizes low weight and compact dimensions, allowing ideal positioning in the chassis to optimize the center of gravity and balance.

Electronics play a crucial role, with systems such as traction control HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control), electronic accelerator TBW (Throttle By Wire) and riding modes that regulate four parameters: power (P), engine braking (EB ), anti-wheelie (W) and HSTC (T). Controlled launch and Quickshifter add technical sophistication to the Fireblade SP’s engine.

The aluminum Diamond architecture chassis also receives a matte black finish and is associated with a refined suspension set: a fully adjustable Öhlins TTX36 Smart-EC spring-shock absorber at the rear and an Öhlins NPX inverted front suspension with 43 mmØ tubes. equipped with the Öhlins S-EC – Semi Active Electronic Control system. Brakes include 330 mmØ front discs with four-piston Brembo Stylema calipers and a single 220 mmØ rear disc. The modern ABS braking system allows settings in Circuit (for the track) and Sport modes.

The six-axis IMU inertial unit monitors the Fireblade’s dynamic parameters, adjusting in real time several control devices, including the three levels of the HESD (Honda Electronic Steering Damper) electronic steering damper and a system that reduces the rear wheel’s tendency to roll. lift during braking.

A highlight in both aesthetic and practical terms is the efficient design of the fairing, which uses side fins to increase the downward vertical aerodynamic load, known as “downforce.” This results in greater stability at high speeds, better acceleration when exiting corners and superior control during rapid changes of direction and extreme braking.

The control panel has a 5-inch TFT screen that is fully customizable using a control located on the left handle. The Smart-Key system, a face-to-face key, is another practical touch of the Honda CBR 1000RR-R Fireblade SP, which offers perfect ergonomics for use on tracks, standing out as a true technological milestone from the largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world.

A Honda CBR 1000RR-R SP 2024 in Black (Mat Pearl Morion Black) will be available at Honda Dream dealerships from November. The warranty is three years, with no mileage limit, and includes the Honda Assistance service, which offers 24-hour assistance in Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay. The suggested price (based on São Paulo-SP) is R$ 193,500.00 in the Black (Mat Pearl Morion Black) and Red (Grand Prix) colors and R$ 198,500.00 in the White version (Pear Glare – 30th Anniversary Edition).
