Bruno Crivilin (Elite and E1), Vinicius Calafati (E2), Alexandre Valadares “Brankim” (E4) and Bárbara Neves (EF) arrive motivated in Biguaçu after dominating the opening of the championship
The Brazilian Enduro Championship returns to action next weekend (20 and 21/4), with the second race on the 2024 calendar. For the Honda Racing team, the objective on the trails in the Santa Catarina city of Biguaçu is to continue dominating the championship. In addition to defending the leadership of the Elite (general classification), the team is in first place in the four categories in which it competes in the competition.
With the Honda CRF 250RX, Bruno Crivilin commands the Elite and the E1 class and arrives in Santa Catarina motivated. Alongside the other drivers on the team, he did specific training in Paraná in the last few days, in conditions similar to the terrain and climate he will encounter.
We spent practically a month and a half without competing (since the opening, held in Aracruz-ES), but we worked hard in preparation to not let the pace drop, highlights.
Owner of 10 Brazilian titles in different categories, the man from Espírito Santo knows the characteristics of the Santa Catarina route well, but he doesn’t expect it to be easy.
I raced in Biguaçu for the first time in 2014, so I know what the terrain is like and how the bike reacts. This makes it a little easier, but since then new drivers have emerged and the group really wants to win. I’m sure it will be a very competitive race. The team is ready and I am confident that we will achieve our goals, continues Crivilin.
Vinicius Calafati, who competes with the Honda CRF 450RX, is also motivated. The E2 leader is the driver to beat in the category.
The work this month was very solid and the weight of the debut came out. I really like the competitions in Biguaçu, I’ve competed there a few times. It usually rains, the terrain is difficult and different from what we are used to in our training. That’s why the week in Paraná was important. We are ready to have a beautiful weekend.
The São Paulo native has eight national titles on his resume.
With the CRF 250F, Alexandre Valadares “Brankim” from Minas Gerais leads the E4, in the search for the fourth Brazilian title in the exclusive class for nationally manufactured motorcycles.
I like the stages in the South, they are always challenging because of the cold and rain, the terrain is quite slippery. They are very technical and extensive specials. We will do everything we can to get back to the top of the podium.
Bárbara Neves, also riding the CRF 250F, is the championship leader in EF (Women). The girl from Goiás was another one who made the most of her preparation in Paraná, under the guidance of the team’s technical manager, Rômulo Bottrel.
I followed his instructions and was able to work with the entire team. It was a great opportunity to try to evolve and gain more intimacy with the bike. I’m ready to accelerate in Biguaçu, it’s the first time I’m going to compete there, says the five-time Brazilian champion.
The route of the second race of the 2024 Brazilian Enduro Championship is 50 kilometers long and has three special tests (timed sections). The Cross Teste Honda, 4.5 km long, runs along deactivated downhill tracks, with many undulations. Enduro Test 1 (5.1 km) alternates technical and slow sections with faster ones. Enduro Teste 2 (6 km) is the most complete, with sections on grass, climbs, descents, high-speed curves and sandy surfaces. On both Saturday and Sunday, drivers will complete three laps of the circuit.
The Honda Racing Enduro team is sponsored by Pro Honda, Honda Seguros, DID, NGK, Ogio, ASW and Kenda.
