Honda Recalls 750,000 Cars in US Due to Airbag Defect

The ‍Japanese car company Honda Motors revealed on Tuesday that it is recalling 750,000 cars in the United⁤ States due to a defect in the airbags.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) stated in a report by the economic network “CNBC Arabia” that the front passenger seat weight sensor may crack and cause an electrical short, ultimately leading ‍to the airbag failing to ‍deploy as intended. As a result, manufacturers will replace the ‌seat weight sensors.

The recall includes certain 2020-2022 Honda Pilot, Accord and Civic vehicles, ⁣as well as certain 2020 and 2021 Honda CR-V and Passport vehicles.

Honda confirmed that it has received 3,834 warranty claims related to the recall since June 2020, but there have been no reported injuries or deaths.
