Honor 80 and 80 SE specifications changed

by time news

Honor is preparing to present the Honor 80 series. As usual with every launch, this launch is preceded by a lot of leaks and rumors. A few days ago, Honor 80 Pro+ had some key specs. Now, it’s time for the digital chat terminal to reveal some tidbits about the Honor 80 and Honor 80 Pro.

Honor 80 (SE) and Honor 80 Pro specs are here

The famous Chinese leaker reveals some key specifications of the new premium phones. Honor 80 will pack a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC. These chipsets were recently released by the Taiwanese company. It’s an upgrade over the Dimensity 920. The tipster also confirms the phone with a 64MP main camera.

Meanwhile, the 80 Pro will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. Yes, once again Honor will be using this chipset in the lineup. But what else does Qualcomm offer besides the Snapdragon 778G and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1? Apparently, not all phone makers are confident using the Samsung Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. The tip also points to the use of a 108MP camera in the 80 Pro.

The Honor 80 Pro+ is, as usual, the most impressive device in the lineup. The phone will bring Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. This powerful chipset will sit alongside up to 12GB of RAM, and we’re assuming it has 256GB or even 512GB of storage. Rumors also point to the use of a main camera with a resolution of 200 megapixels. So the 80 Pro+ might be the third smartphone to hit the market with Samsung’s HP1 snapper. Last but not least, expect a curved AMOLED display and support for 100W fast charging.

Conflicting reports about the names

There are also some rumors pointing to different labels for the series. There will be Honor 80 SE, 80 and 80 Pro +. The SE is the one with Dimensity 1080, the vanilla has the Snapdragon 778G, and the Pro is the flagship with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. According to the 3C listing, the vanilla SE has 66W charging support. On the other hand, the Pro has the already mentioned 100W charging support.
