Aurangabad: A case of honor killing of a 14-year-old girl has come to light in Aurangabad, Bihar. The girl was killed by her own family members due to a love affair. The case was of an inter-caste love affair, due to which the angry family members killed the girl and threw her body in a pond. Police have arrested 5 people in this case.

The girl insisted on marrying her boyfriend

This incident is from Futharwa village of Navinagar police station area of ​​Aurangabad. The deceased was having an affair with Vivek Chauhan, a resident of Shivsagar village. Both wanted to get married soon, but their relationship was not acceptable to the girl’s family. The family tried to convince the girl a lot, but she remained adamant on her stubbornness.

The lover and his family were accused of murder

The family members say that they took this step to save their social prestige and dignity. The girl’s cousin and grandparents together killed her. To mislead the police, the girl’s grandmother filed a case against Vivek and his family members in Navinagar police station. She filed a case against Vivek under many sections including POCSO Act, SC-ST Act. After investigation, the police arrested Vivek and sent him to jail.

The body of the girl was recovered from the pond after her mother lodged a complaint

On August 21, the girl’s mother had lodged a missing report. SP Swapna Gautam Meshram formed a special team considering the seriousness of the case. The team led by SDPO Sanjay Kumar Pandey started the investigation and recovered the girl’s body from the pond of Futharwa village. Police investigation revealed that the case was of honor killing. Police have arrested 5 people in this case. All the accused have been sent to judicial custody.
