Honor has opened the MagicOS 11 early access program for the Magic V6 foldable in China, allowing eligible users to test the new “Liquid Glass” UI. Applications are open until July 26, 2026, with the testing build scheduled to roll out after July 29.
The rollout marks the second phase of Honor’s software testing activity. While the first phase focused on the Magic 8 series, the company is now expanding the MagicOS 11 Liquid Glass Early Access Pioneer Recruitment to users of the 2026 Magic V6 foldable.
MagicOS 11 Liquid Glass UI Features
Built on Android 17, MagicOS 11 replaces traditional solid menus and frosted overlays with a physics-based design language. This new system uses floating glass panels that allow wallpapers to remain visible, moving away from the flat shapes found in MagicOS 10.
The redesign extends to the Control Center, where settings are housed in transparent capsules that blend with the screen background. According to reports, this represents Android’s first translucent fluid design
on Magic phones.
How to Apply for Early Access
To participate in the MagicOS 11 Liquid Glass Early Access Pioneer Recruitment, Magic V6 users must first ensure their device is running MagicOS 10.0.0.170. Interested users can sign up through the following steps:
- Open the My Honor app on the smartphone.
- Navigate to the Club section.
- Select MagicOS.
- Click on the “MagicOS 11 Liquid Glass Early Access Pioneer Recruitment” banner.
- Follow the on-screen instructions, fill out the application with correct details, and click “Submit.”
Honor will review submitted applications from July 27 to July 28, and the update will be released by July 29 for those whose applications are accepted.
Context: MagicOS 10 and Recent Updates
The Magic V6 originally launched in March with Android 16-based MagicOS 10. For users on MagicOS 10, Honor is also managing a separate rollout of the MagicOS 10 July 2026 update. This third and final batch of the July 2026 firmware includes more than 20 models, ranging from gaming devices to top-end folding phones.
The MagicOS 10 July 2026 update includes a revamped UI segment with a new pile-up mode in the Recent Task Menu, restyled widgets, integrated services, and additional transition effects. Other enhancements are 3D spatial audio, new YOYO AI features, and a 3D photo lock screen wallpaper.
Other features of MagicOS 10 include stacked widgets, which allow users to cycle through multiple widgets in one spot on the home screen, and App volume control
found under Settings > Sound & haptics > More sound settings, which allows for adjusting audio volume per app.
Honor Magic V6 Hardware Specifications
The Honor Magic V6 was first introduced at MWC 2026 and launched on March 1, 2026. According to Anvinraj Valiyathara, the device features the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a 6,660mAh silicon-carbon battery.
The foldable is designed for a slim profile, measuring 8.75mm when folded and 4.0mm when unfolded, with a weight of approximately 219g. In terms of durability, the device is IP68 (immersion) and IP69 (pressure) dust and water resistant.
Following its introduction, the Magic V6 began a global rollout with pre-orders available in Singapore and Malaysia, and further launches planned for the Middle East, Europe, and other regions throughout June.
