Honor is gearing up to launch the Pad 8 in India shortly after it was officially revealed to global markets earlier this year. Details of the Indian version of the Honor tablet have surfaced online. Honor Pad 8 launched globally in August this year. Tablets have one storage option.
If all goes well with the recent leaks, the Indian version of Honor Pad 8 may retain the specifications of the global version. Honor is making a great comeback in the Indian tablet market with the Pad 8.
The brand has been teasing the upcoming Honor Pad 8’s arrival in India for some time now, and is planning to sell the tablet in India via Flipkart.
Honor Pad 8 Specifications
The Honor Pad 8 comes with a 12-inch LCD screen with a 2K resolution. The tablet boots up by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC and runs MagicUI 6.1. The Pad 8 comes with 128GB built-in storage options. As for optics, the tablet has a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.
It also offers a myriad of connectivity options including Bluetooth v5.1, OTG, and dual-band Wi-Fi. It’s an 8-speaker configuration that combines Honor Histen and DTS: X Ultra.
The tablet uses a 7250mAh battery and supports 22.5W fast charging. The tablet measures 174.06 x 278.54 x 6.9 mm and weighs approximately 520 grams.
Honor Pad 8 India launch and possible prices
Honor’s last tablet in India, the Pad 5, was launched in 2019 at a price of Rs 15,500. The new Pad 8 will be even more expensive, due to the much improved specifications.
And since Honor is planning to return to the Indian market with this device, it will be priced aggressively in India. The global version of the Pad 8 is priced at 1,399 Malaysian ringgit or around 24,600 rupees. In India, the prices can be a little lower, but you might want to eat that rumor with a pinch of salt.
A 128GB storage variant is available in the international market at this price. Additionally, the tablet comes with a Blue Hour color option.
