Honor presents its new ecosystem: smartphones, tablets and PCs

At the IFA in Berlin, Honor announced a new strategy to bring the next foldable and all-round smartphones to Europe and other international markets. The brand premiered MagicOS 7.0, an operating system that embraces open standards to facilitate collaboration between smartphones, tablets, PCs and other IoT products. Honor also presented three new devices: Honor 70, Honor MagicBook 14 and Honor Pad 8, the first Honor tablet available outside of China. All three devices will arrive in selected European markets in the coming weeks. MagicOS 7.0 is based on Android and PC and IoT operating systems, so devices with different operating systems can connect to MagicOS devices at the system level. In addition to the new user interface changes, MagicOS 7.0 will allow users to control an Honor laptop, smartphone and tablet using a single keyboard and mouse. Thanks to this feature, users will be able to drag files from one device to another without any interruption and type texts on their smartphone or tablet with the laptop keyboard. MagicOS 7.0 will be officially unveiled in the fourth quarter of 2022. Honor announced that the brand has joined several IoT consortia, including Matter and Ola, helping to formulate common industry standards that promote open collaboration.

The high-end Honor 70 smartphone will debut with Solo Cut mode, which allows users to produce vlogs that highlight a specific person in a group thanks to built-in identification technology. With Dual Video Streaming, Honor 70 can record two videos simultaneously, one with a single subject and the other with the whole group. The dual main camera comprises a 54MP Super Sensing main camera with a 1 / 1.49 “IMX800 sensor and a 50MP Ultra-Wide and Macro camera. The new smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Plus 5G and supports GPU Turbo X and OS Turbo X. The phone will be available starting from September 9. Honor MagicBook 14 is instead the new laptop of the Chinese company, powered by an Intel Core processor i5-12500H 12th generation and is configurable with a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 graphics card, with a 75Wh battery that promises up to 17 hours of standby time and supports fast charging to provide up to 3.5 hours of battery life with running productivity software after 15 minutes of charging Prices from € 1,099.

Honor Pad 8 is the company’s first tablet distributed outside of China, featuring a 12-inch 2K display with an 87 percent screen-to-body ratio. It supports a resolution of 2000×1200 pixels and 1 billion colors with eight integrated speakers.
