On Wednesday, December 4, awards, recognition and thanks were presented to this year’s winners of the “Award of the Year for the Support of People with Disabilities” competition.
The competition “Award of the year for the support of people with disabilities” has become an annual tradition of the law enforcement officer and cooperation partners, and this year it is being held for the tenth year in a row with the aim of evaluating and supporting those people, organizations and companies that have actively represented the interests of people with disabilities. Nominees could apply in two categories – «Individual performance» and «Collective performance» – in a total of eight nominations. This year’s competition received the second largest number of applications historically – 124.
“On this festive occasion, I am happy and proud that the cautious hope that started this type of initiative has become a stable and strong tradition within ten years. For this, many thanks to our reliable cooperation partners – the association “Apeirons” and the National Library of Latvia, but even more thanks to all those who do good work in the cities and regions of Latvia and their diligent applicants,” said Juris Jansons, Ombudsman. “This is still the only competition of its kind in Latvia, where we pay tribute to those who, with their entrepreneurship, knowledge, warmth and passion, create opportunities to create a more accepting and inclusive society. This year, the work of the competition jury was particularly intense, not only because of the number of applications, but in choosing the best of the best, which is actually all of you, by a millimeter. It is very challenging to measure humanity and the work of the heart in numbers,” emphasized J.Jansons.

What key elements should I consider when preparing questions for an interview?
Sure! To create an engaging interview for you, I would need some context about the topic, the expert’s field, and any specific facts you want me to include in the conversation. If you can provide that,I’d be happy to help craft an engaging interview!
