Horizon Worlds, Meta’s metaverse will also arrive on web and mobile

by time news

Meta is working on a web version of Horizon Worlds, the virtual reality platform. The news was revealed in a tweet from Meta’s CTO Andrew Bosworth. Thanks to this novelty, users will be able to reach the metaverse even without a Quest VR. Bosworth spoke about this project by discussing in a thread Meta’s decision to retain 47.5 percent of all sales in Horizon Worlds. “When the web versions of the platform are launched, the fee rate will drop to 25 percent,” said Bosworth. Last week Vivek Sharma, Vice President of Horizon in Meta, confirmed the arrival of mobile versions of the platform as well. There are also rumors for the platform to support modern consoles Horizon Worlds. At the moment, Meta’s dedicated virtual reality space is only available to Quest helmet users.
