Led by members of the Association of Moroccans at Grandes Ecoles (AMGE-Caravane), this forum, which is celebrating its 27th anniversary this year, offers an opportunity to young graduates and executives residing in France who wish to enter the professional world in Morocco.
“This forum is part of the dynamic of mobilizing all the skills and talents among expatriate Moroccans to effectively get involved in the process of national and African development,” FHM President Ahmed Belghiti Alaoui told MAP.
Morocco’s anchoring in Africa is a global strategy for this continent which offers abundant natural resources and brings together local talents eager to contribute to their regional development, he continued.
And to maintain that in accordance with the clear-sighted Royal vision, Morocco is banking on Africa by establishing businesses in many African countries to reconnect with its centuries-old cultural and civilizational influence.
The FHM, he said, thus constitutes a platform for exchange and meetings between Moroccan skills abroad and Moroccan economic operators to explore commercial and investment opportunities, consequently promoting economic and social development in the Kingdom and in Africa.
It also allows professionals of all nationalities to establish contacts with Moroccan and African companies, while exploring the employment and investment opportunities they present, said Mr. Belghiti Alaoui.
Also approached by MAP, the director of the human capital division of the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG), Larbi Mourdi, indicated that the CDG group is present at the Forum with several subsidiaries and in several businesses, notably territorial development, tourism, investment and the financial sector through CDG capital.
“Our objective today is to seek skills that will accompany us in the new strategic plan 2023-2027,” he said, indicating that the group is very interested in profiles, particularly young people, who are capable of putting energy into supporting the development of their country.
“This is part of an ’employer brand’ strategy that we are developing with an interesting and innovative employee experience that provides young people with an agile environment, capable of fully integrating them and supporting them to achieve their dreams,” he said.
And he continued: “We met several very interesting profiles in several fields, whether finance or engineering”, noting that the entire database will be shared with all of the group’s HR managers, and we will take “the maximum” from it.
For Nada Touili, a trained auditor who studied at a business school in Morocco followed by a master’s degree in France, the aim of her presence at the Forum is to explore the opportunities available in Morocco, particularly in internal auditing.
“I have been considering for some time returning to work in Morocco, which is experiencing structural development on different levels, particularly the employment market, which has seen a major improvement in recent years,” she said, wishing to use her experience accumulated in France to serve a Moroccan group.
For one day, 67 Moroccan and foreign companies based in Morocco and hundreds of HR managers meet students, young graduates and executives working in France looking for new professional opportunities in order to provide them with precise information on their action in Morocco and their recruitment needs, conduct interviews with them, and even offer them jobs.
Placed under the theme “Expand your horizons, aim for Africa”, this edition of the FHM is also marked by the organization of several thematic workshops and conferences.
The organizers say they expect more than 3,500 visitors during this 27th edition.
