Ranchi: The four bodies found on the railway track in Chakradharpur railway division of Jharkhand on Saturday morning have been identified. All four belonged to the same family of Nurda village of Hatgamharia police station area in West Singhbhum. After they were murdered in a dispute over witchcraft and sorcery, their bodies were thrown on the tracks to make it look like suicide. The 15-year-old daughter of the family, who somehow escaped from the clutches of the attackers, reached the police station with her uncle and informed the police about the incident.
Two children among the dead
The deceased include Binu Sinku, his wife and their son and daughter. Jumbal Sinku, younger brother of Binu Sinku, identified the bodies. He told that many people of the village had fought with his brother and his entire family by accusing him of witchcraft. A meeting was also held in the village regarding this. Many people entered the house on Friday night. They killed their two children in front of Binu Sinku and his wife and put their bodies in a sack. A 15-year-old girl of the family somehow managed to escape.

After this, they tied the hands and feet of Binu Sinku and his wife and took them to the nearby forest. Both of them were tied to a tamarind tree and beaten with sticks until they died. After this, the four dead bodies were taken to the railway tracks and thrown in such a way that it appeared to be a case of suicide. There was a sensation in the area when four dead bodies were found at different places on the railway tracks on Saturday morning.

Case disclosed in police station
The matter came to light after the girl from the family reached the police station in the afternoon. On the basis of the girl’s statement, the police have recovered two sticks used in the murder. The police is busy collecting evidence of the murder with the help of dog squad and forensic investigation team. Efforts are being made to reach the murderer with the help of dog squad. The forensic investigation team has collected many important samples including blood samples from the spot.
