The taste of horror films became a vulnerability in the life of a woman, who was spiritually oppressed until Jesus Christ freed her. Today, she works as an evangelist sharing her testimony.
Alicia Morton grew up in a Christian home and used to attend church with her family during her childhood: “I was always very involved in the church, the worship ministry and I attended services. I think I always had Jesus in my heart. But, I used to watch horror movies. I got goosebumps with them and it was exciting,” he said.
In an interview with Delivered Down Underon YouTube, Alicia revealed that the adrenaline rush of horror movies was kind of a habit, but one day she realized it was affecting her spiritually:
“One film in particular had a very dramatic scene involving a human sacrifice and immediately, I turned off the TV. But, it was too late: something had entered me, I physically felt a presence enter me,” she recalled.
After that day, Alicia started experiencing nightmares, anxiety attacks and panic attacks at night. Her husband, Matha, who remained firm in his faith in Christ, began interceding for her: “My husband said the prayer of salvation to me. We cast out the spirits and that spirit of fear that came into me. Praise be to God for that.”
Transformation
According to the Canadian, since then she has not watched any horror film again and she has also abandoned gossip: “I didn’t know there was an evil spirit behind the gossip. Then God convinced me that there were other things that I needed to be freed from.”
“One day, the Holy Spirit came upon me, I was convicted of my sins and I began to repent,” emphasized Alicia.
Today, she works in evangelism together with her husband, traveling the world to proclaim the Gospel message with the “Keys of the Kingdom” Ministry: “We evangelize, we deliver, we heal, we deliver, we train and we build churches to equip. We are passionate about seeing the Kingdom of Heaven advance and manifest it on Earth,” said Alicia.
“Matthew and I will be called to deliver God’s people and equip the church to do salvation, so that there will be a ripple effect of people healing, delivering, and giving salvation to everyone around them. We forsake false churches, repent of sins, and break covenants with the enemy.”
“I see many miracles, so many people giving themselves to Jesus every day and this is so inspiring, the power of God is changing lives every day. I have always wanted to be a missionary and today I am doing it. God saw my heart and saw that I wanted to live my life for him. Therefore, he blessed me and I am just grateful to see my healing and transformation in the process”, said Alicia Morton.
