The story began on 19.10 around 7 in the morning when the Davidson County police officers noticed the child locked inside the locked kennel and this when the temperature outside was -2 degrees. Inside the kennel they left him a little food and clothes, “but not enough to keep the boy warm,” said Sheriff Richie Simmons.

Following the incident, the welfare authorities made sure to take the boy into their custody along with his four siblings: a baby, a 4-year-old boy and two children of primary school age. “We believe that this is not an isolated case. It seems that this is an ongoing thing,” Simmons said in his statement.
