Horse Week 2024 (Show Jumping): Rider Youness Lamnouni wins the Moroccan “Special Olympics” championship
Rabat – Rider Youness Lamnouni, riding the horse “Lotus”, won, on Wednesday, the Moroccan “Special Olympics” show jumping championship, as part of the 39th edition of Horse Week, which continues until July 7 at the Royal Equestrian Sports Complex and Tbourida Dar Es-Salam in Rabat, under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI.
Lamnouni won the gold medal in this event, which took place in two rounds, completing the course in 28sec 29/100th with a clear round, after a jump-off.
The silver medal went to Nabil El Khalifi on “Walima” with a time of 28sec 98/100th and a clear round, while Hicham Lamnouni on “Warda” won the bronze medal by completing the course without a fault in 34sec 81/100th.
The title of the previous edition went to rider Nabil El Khalifi on “Walima”.
The 39th edition of Horse Week brings together 400 pairs, riders and horses, in 20 different categories, who compete for the title in the show jumping and dressage events.
