Hospital financial governance: The Director General of the CHUP-CDG shares the experience of Burkina in Morocco
Ouagadougou, June 3, 2023 (AIB)- The Director General of the Charles De Gaulle Pediatric University Hospital Center (CHUP-CDG), Cyrille Priscille Kaboret/Ouédraogo shared from May 25 to 27, 2023 in Marrakech, Morocco, the experience of governance financial institution of his country for the benefit of several heads of hospitals in African countries.
The University Hospital Center (CHU) Ibn Sina of Rabat, in collaboration with the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation organized from May 25 to 27, 2023 in Marrakech, Morocco, a seminar for exchanges and sharing of experiences on governance hospital finance.
This meeting which brought together the directors of hospitals from 9 African countries which have a partnership agreement with the CHU Ibn Sina in Rabat, including Burkina Faso, through the Charles De Gaulle Pediatric University Hospital Center (CHUP-CDG).
For the occasion, the Director General of the CHUP-CDG, Cyrille Priscille Kaboret/Ouédraogo presented the hospital financial governance model of Burkina Faso to her colleagues from other African countries.
Ms. Kaboret thus dwelt, among other things, on the management of Burkinabe hospitals, the strengths and weaknesses and the prospects for improvement for a more efficient management system.
The MD of the CHUP-CDG, also in his presentation highlighted the general context and the legal framework of the main reforms undertaken, in terms of hospital financial governance.
Participants from Morocco, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Gabon, Mauritania, Madagascar, Djibouti, Mali and Burundi, shared the mode of governance of hospitals.
For the director of the CHU Ibn Sina, Pr Albdelkader Errougani, the aim of the seminar is to create a framework for exchanges between several hospital managers in African countries.
According to him, this activity is part of the strengthening of South-South cooperation and will allow, according to him, to strengthen the links of technical and financial cooperation between the different hospitals.
Mr. Errougani underlined that this meeting will allow to appreciate the opportunities and the complexities of a hospital governance in the process of the offers of care.
The participants are resolutely committed to the development of an effective and efficient financial governance system within their respective structures, through the creation of an exchange network.
