A series of workshops were recently held at the Fundación Alcorcón University Hospital in which patients admitted to the pediatric and psychiatric units assembled and installed nest boxes and feeders for urban birds. These workshops have been guided by the Spanish Ornithological Society and in addition to contributing to biodiversity in the hospital environment, this type of experience brings benefits for the patients themselves, because they fall within the humanization of healthcare.
