One civilian, six law enforcement officers and six assailants killed. This is the heavy toll in Pakistan of the night of clashes between paramilitary troops attacked on their base and combatants. These, “well equipped” and whose identity is unknown, stormed the security base in the city of Muslim Bagh, in the province of Balochistan (southwest) and captured three families in a residential building, explained the army.
The clashes raged from Friday evening to Saturday morning, said the army’s communication service (ISPR). In addition to the thirteen dead, six other people, including a woman, were also injured.
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, but separatist groups in the Baloch ethnic group have been rebelling against the state in this province for decades, often targeting the security forces.
