Singers, comedians, athletes and entertainers took turns from September 8 to 10 to make Paris Paradis a little haven of peace and celebration, for a weekend, at Parc de la Villette, in Paris (19th century). On the program for this 5th edition of the “Parisien” event: concerts, humorous scenes but also dozens of stands and activities to imagine the city of tomorrow, more ecological, more united and less anxiety-provoking for city dwellers.

Under the scorching late summer sun, festival-goers responded: 20,000 people set foot on the lawn of the Parisian park and crowded around the stages. “We thank the artists, festival-goers and partners who trust us. Paris Paradis is there for the fifth time and is establishing itself as an unmissable back-to-school event,” said the general director of “Parisien”, Sophie Gourmelen, at the end of the weekend.

An enthusiasm shared by the artists themselves. “The audience was very eclectic. I saw everything in terms of ages, it could go from 8 to 70 years old,” enthuses comedian Laurie Peret, who came for the first time.

Improv is queen

Manu Payet, Waly Dia, Élodie Poux, Rosa Bursztein, Nordine Ganso and even Elena Nagapetyan… The actors set the Cabaret Sauvage stage on fire all weekend long. In the large room on the banks of the Ourcq canal, the comedians took turns on the sets, with friends, to present their sketches in a Comedy Club atmosphere.

A way for these artists to create a connection with the public – improv is king – and to test new jokes. “I am preparing my new show, part of which I revealed to the very receptive public,” smiles Laurie Peret. We were able to take the time to chat with comedians, it was great! »

In the evening, festival-goers discovered a rich program on stage, made up of emerging artists accompanied by Live Nation and pillars of the French scene. From the opening, the young shoots, from the Franco-Spanish duo Doya – the two sisters revealed by the telecrochet “The Voice” – to Kalika and her electro pop universe, emerging artists were there. Over the course of the weekend, the young rising star from Saint-Nazaire, Zaho de Sagazan, Julien Clerc and Kendji Girac took turns putting on the show.

Live stress-free

The festival, designed to help its visitors relieve the stress of daily life, also offered dozens of well-being activities over three days. During the day, parents were able to take part in meditation classes or learn how to eat better and optimize their energy thanks to conferences organized by the Cenatho naturopathy school.

The bravest even got up early on Sunday morning to attend a Tai-Chi initiation with Creasens, or participate in the morning dance workshop offered by Bloom. And for the mid-afternoon bouts of fatigue, numerous deck chairs were provided on which festival-goers could lounge in the shade of the large trees that line the park. Enough to enjoy a little more of the last light of summer and forget about going back to school for a few hours.
