The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, says that he was looking for the car museum at Hotel Union Geiranger on Friday morning.

– I didn’t see any signs, felt a random door, and then came in here, he tells VG and continues:

– I didn’t see a single soul, either by the door or inside the premises. There was no one there I could ask about where the car museum was.

According to the hotel’s website, Union has a display of a collection of vintage cars, which were used in the 1920s and 30s to show tourists around the small village.

Black and Pink

He says that he thought he had found the museum when he entered a hall that was beautifully decorated for the wedding of Princess Märtha Louise and Durek Verrett.

From the pictures, you can see rows of tables covered with black cloths, pink flower bouquets, and candlesticks.

Pictures from “The Geiranger Hall” on the hotel’s website show a room with the same ceiling, floor, and window layout as the one the hotel guest took pictures of.

According to the wedding program, the Geiranger Hall is to be used during the gala dinner on Saturday evening.

The man claims to have stayed at the hotel from Thursday to Friday. VG has seen documentation showing that a larger sum of money has been withdrawn from the man by the hotel.

– When I entered, I thought, “wow,” says the guest and continues:

– It was a sea of pink flowers and black tablecloths. It was beautifully decorated.

– Some Nonsense

He thought it would be nice for his kids to see some pictures of how the wedding venue looked. VG has also seen these pictures.

– I thought, “yes, yes, maybe there are others who are also interested in this.” Because it is so secretive, and I think that is some nonsense, he says.

– A door has been broken into the banquet hall. There is a lot of video footage we are going through. The guest will be reported as soon as we have identified him. We will pursue the matter legally over the weekend, writes the manager of Hotel Union, Sindre Mjelva, in a text message to VG.

Whether the guest used the door that Mjelva is discussing is not known. The former, however, stands by his word:

– The door was open, it’s not true that it was broken down – it’s just nonsense.

In addition to not seeing any people, he also claims that there were no signs indicating that he should stay away.

VG has also tried to contact the managers of the bride and groom in connection with this matter, so far without receiving a response.

On Friday afternoon, guests and the bridal couple arrived in Geiranger.

The police were also present outside Hotel Union:
