Pattappakal hacked the receptionist to death inside a hotel in Thampanoor, Thiruvananthapuram. Ayyappan, a receptionist at the City Tower Hotel and a native of Nagercoil, was killed. Police have intensified their investigation by examining the CCTV footage.
Police are investigating whether the motive for the murder was animosity. The murder took place at 8.30 am today. The accused got into the hotel on his bike and cut Ayyappan’s neck. The accused has also cut off Ayyappan’s hand. The defendant, who was stabbed in the neck for the first time, was stabbed again with a weapon.
Police hope to catch the culprit immediately based on the availability of CCTV footage of the murder. Ayyappan had been working in a hotel for the last one year. Following the murder, senior police officials and others arrived at the scene.
