In Hovmantorp, located within Lessebo municipality, a car crashed into a villa resulting in two people being injured as per initial reports. The car drove straight into the house, tearing down the outer wall, and is currently inside. According to Pär Stensson, rescue manager at the rescue service östra Kronoberg, it is unclear if both individuals were in the car or if one was inside the house during the accident. The police command center for the South region, represented by Rickard Lundqvist, deemed the collision severe and cordoned the area off for witness interviews. Lundqvist stated their assistance would extend to investigating the possible involvement of crime in this incident.
A car has driven into a villa in Hovmantorp in Lessebo municipality and according to the first reports, two people have been injured.
– It is a car that for some reason drove straight into the house and tore down the outer wall. The car is inside the house and two people are affected, says rescue manager Pär Stensson at the rescue service östra Kronoberg.
He has received information that both people must be taken to hospital, but does not know if both were in the car or if one of them was inside the house when the accident happened.
– The accident itself is of a serious nature because both the car and the house are damaged, but I dare not comment on the condition of the people.
The collision must have been severe, according to Rickard Lundqvist at the police command center for the South region.
The place is cordoned off and interviews with witnesses have begun.
– We assist the emergency services and our task thereafter is to investigate whether we can suspect crime in this context, says Rickard Lundqvist.
