“Dear friends and fans, I am writing to you today with a heavy heart, as I am forced to face a harsh reality. I am deeply saddened to announce that we will not be able to perform at Hard Rock Hell this year. I know many of you have been looking forward to this and I am devastated to disappoint you.
Please know that my absence is not due to a lack of enthusiasm or commitment, but rather my ongoing battle with a serious medical condition. I have been struggling with health issues for over a year and have recently begun treatment for cancer.
I understand that some of you may have made significant sacrifices to attend the event, including traveling and taking time off work. I want to extend my sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. Your support and understanding means the world to me.
I want to acknowledge that my team and the venue should have communicated this information more promptly, but they were always hoping that I would still be able to perform. I appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter. I am not one to seek sympathy, but I feel a deep sense of responsibility to be honest with you, the people who have supported me throughout my career. Your loyalty and encouragement have meant the world to me, and I hope you can find forgiveness in your hearts for not being able to make the trip for HRH.
Thank you for your understanding. I look forward to making amends, especially to those who have taken an angry stance towards me… I am so sorry, you couldn’t have known.
