Houston hosts the Kizomba Festival with Kyaku Kyadaff

News from Angola – Balumuka Mwangole will hold the Kizomba festival entitled “BALUMUKA FEST” next month, taking place in Houston (United States of America).

Taking place between the 3rd, 4th and 5th of November, it will feature performances by Angolan artist Kyaku Kyadaff, Chelsie Chantel and Ricardo Lenvu.

Speaking to Notícias de Angola, Gil English, a member of the festival organization, said that it is an event that aims to internationalize the Kizomba style in the diaspora as well as its precursors.

According to Gil English, the Kizomba festival appears with a special peculiarity in its organization made up of Angolans, different from other editions originally by other nationalities.

He also mentioned that the event includes dance workshops, exhibitions, a dance competition, talks with artists, an awards gala and the three longest Kizomba night parties in North America. The festival takes place in Houston, Texas, during the first weekend of November.

BALUMUKA FEST is an annual event that celebrates the cultural heritage that unites Angola and the USA. It is organized and produced by Rosario Luís, MR. Angola and English GIL.
