Rudolf Fix was actually a mechanical engineer. But after the end of the Second World War he consciously decided on a completely different career. “Eleven years of building murder machines – I was fed up with it,” son Peter Fix quotes his father as saying: “A humane education was necessary. So get away from war toys.”
