How can an Apple app prevent car thefts?

The new app is called Tracker Detect, and is designed to detect object detection tags that rely on the company’s Find My network. This network is based on Bluetooth connectivity, with every iPhone, iPad and Mac that is in close proximity to such a tag being able to identify it using this connectivity and report the location where it was detected via its cellular communications. Thus, if the object on which the tag is found has been stolen or lost, it can be found by searching it on the map in Apple’s Find My app.
