One of my patients consulted me one day because she thought she was allergic to sperm. This may be surprising at first, but semen allergy really exists. However, this remains an extremely rare pathology. It affects approximately one in 5,000 women (i.e. 0.02%). As it is not common and concerns an intimate area, diagnosis is often late and women and couples may go years before understanding the origin of their problem.
