The decision to move forward was taken after receiving information about the timing of the Hezbollah leadership meeting on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu also tried to confuse Hezbollah by flying to America.
On Friday morning, PM Netanyahu held a meeting with the Defense Minister and Chief of Staff from America on the basis of intelligence information. Its Bagh Air Force Command gave the green signal to planes equipped with bunker-busting bombs.
On Friday evening, a large number of warplanes flew towards Lebanon and, once given the signal, dropped dozens of bombs on the building where Hassan Nasrallah was present. Six buildings were razed to the ground in the bombing in Dahiya. Many commanders including Nasrallah were killed on the spot in this attack.
