Adah Sharma is in the news for renting a Bandra apartment that was once owned by Sushant Singh Rajput. The actress leased the apartment in October 2023 and has also started living with her mother and grandmother earlier this year. In a press conference on Monday, August 12, Adah, who is working with Vikram Bhatt, clarified that she rented the apartment and is sharing the rent with her grandmother. In an old interview with ‘Bombay Times’, Adah had told that she shifted to the Bandra flat about four months ago but was busy promoting her projects including the OTT release of Bastar and Kerala Story. She also spent some time at the Elephant Sanctuary in Mathura before shifting to her new home.

Now, about staying in Sushant Singh Rajpur’s house, she said, ‘The house I have rented is not mine. The Rs 300 crores I got from Kerala Story are not mine, so I am staying on rent. I am not the only one contributing to the rent. My grandmother also helps in this. Since I am also staying there, I should contribute to the rent. My mother, who is not working, does not contribute financially but cooks food. Actually, the house is not mine, it belongs to Mr Lalwani, who I think is currently in South Africa. I think Sushant also lived there on rent. It was not even his property, but the house belongs to Mr Lalwani.’
Sushant Singh Rajput radiates positive vibes
Adah had earlier said, ‘I have lived in the same house in Pali Hill (Bandra) all my life and this is the first time I have moved out of there. I am very sensitive to vibes, and this place gives me positive vibes. Our houses in Kerala and Mumbai are surrounded by trees and we used to feed birds and squirrels. So, I wanted a house that had a view and enough space to feed the birds.’

Talking about Ada’s upcoming film, she is also going to work in the biopic ‘Tumko Meri Kasam’ of Dr. Ajay Muria, the founder of Indira IVF. The film shows the journey of Dr. Muria’s life, which is full of betrayal, ambition and love. Ada will be seen alongside Ishwak Singh and Anupam Kher and will play the role of Indira.
