Mr. Kühne, there are these Hollywood films in which a billionaire is so annoyed with the management of a hotel or a company that he buys the entire place in order to make everything better. Do you recognize yourself in any way?

They want to take over the Hamburg port operator HHLA, even though it is not for sale. Your criticism must be pretty big.
I have very close ties to Hamburg and follow everything that happens there. In the past, the city’s prosperity was shaped by the port. But now people are whistling from the rooftops that the port and HHLA are on the decline. That worries me. That’s why I want to shake up the Hamburg Senate. I’m just brave enough to say: If you leave HHLA to us, we’ll make sure to move Hamburg forward again. That is my goal. Hamburg is on the path to gradual decline and it must be stopped.
