Climate change is making the sea roar. The North Sea island of Langeoog hardly has any money to do anything about it. But residents who are doing everything they can to save their home.

Today there is no sign of climate change. It’s a mild summer day on Langeoog, around 20 degrees, hardly any wind. Most holidaymakers are drawn to the 14 kilometer long sandy beach. They sit in a beach chair, swim, stroll along the sea. Or you can cycle on the paths behind the dunes or on the marsh side. And they all enjoy the sea air and the summer freshness, far away from the heat of the Mediterranean.
