How long does IMSS student insurance coverage last?

To find out if you are already registered in this insurance, you can check your validity of rights through the official IMSS page, you will only need your Unique Population Registry Key (CURP), your Social Security Number (NSS) and an email.

The IMSS student health insurance is valid until the beneficiary ceases to be part of a state public institution; either by desertion or by completing their studies.

Even when the student has stopped studying, he will continue to keep his NSS, which will become active when the beneficiary enters a formal job and re-registers with the IMSS.
