He also highlighted that this daily work is carried out with an important development of human resources, where specialties such as: Surgical Nursing, Pediatrics, Intensive Care, Dental Health, Oncology, Nephrology, Family Medicine, Public Health, Geriatrics and Management, and Education in Second and Third Level of care.

Each provides specific care within the area of ​​responsibility, and involves staff with other groups for decision-making. He said that 24 percent of the Institute’s Nursing staff are men.

He further indicated that the On May 1, 2023, the H. Technical Council of the IMSS approved the modification of the organic structure of the Nursing Coordination. Now it will have divisions, which will allow a shared participation in decision-making, related to the issues of human resources and material resources, which contribute to the Nursing Care process and to Directive Management at the three levels of care.

He highlighted the distribution of the seven Nursing Schools in the country: Tijuana Baja California; two in the state of Sonora; Monterrey, Nuevo Leon; Guadalajara Jalisco; Merida Yucatan; and Mexico City, with an enrollment of 1,466 students, from which an average of 459 Graduates in Nursing graduate annually.

He explained that within the entrance requirements to these schools and to study the Nursing Degree, those interested must present a high school or high school certificate with an average greater than 8.0; CURP, birth certificate and register on the IMSS platform.
