jpnn.comJAKARTA – Shin Tae Yong is entitled to receive a certain amount of compensation money after being removed by PSSI from the coaching chair of the Indonesian National Team.

PSSI surprisingly fired Shin Tae Yong even though the Korean coach’s contract had just been extended until 2027.

Shin Tae Yong’s removal from head coach of the Indonesian National Team occurred on Monday (6/1/2025).

PSSI also had to pay a certain amount of compensation for terminating cooperation before the tactician’s contract expired.

“From a financial perspective, we have to pay tens of billions of rupiah (for compensation). That (obligation) must also be taken,” said PSSI Executive Committee (Exco) member Arya Sinulingga.

After Shin Tae Yong stepped down from the coaching chair, a number of names emerged who were predicted to be in charge of the Indonesian National Team.

PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir indicated that the new coach of the Garuda Squad comes from the Netherlands.

“(The new coach of the Indonesian National Team, ed) comes from the European continent, his country is the Netherlands,” said Erick.
