How much does the top earning coach in the world earn and who are the top earners?

More than two weeks ago we published about the status of the coach in Israel and especially about the relatively low salary earned by the Israeli coach compared to European football. The senior coaches in Israel earn much more than a children’s or youth coach, and still – the salary of the most senior Israeli coach today, Barak Becher, is significantly lower in the world than senior coaches in Europe.

Becher earns about 350 thousand euros per season, and next season if he stays in Israel he will receive another upgrade and earn 500 thousand euros. If he does agree to the tempting offer of the Red Star in Belgrade, he will earn one million euros per season – the highest earning Israeli coach in the world.
But what is happening in Europe? How much does a senior coach in the major leagues earn? Well, the highest paid coach today is Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone. The coach’s salary is about 30 million pounds – 34 million euros.

Simeone coached the team from Madrid for 616 games and his contract expires next summer. It was recently reported in Spain that it is not impossible that the parties will decide on a separation. Second on the list is Pep Guardiola, who is considered by many to be the best coach in the world. The Spaniard upgraded his contract a year ago and earns 19.7 million pounds per season. The contract of the coach of Manchester City ends in 2025.
The one who closes the first trio is the coach of Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp. The latter recently extended his contract until 2026 and will complete seven years at one of the biggest clubs in the world.

only in second place. Guardiola

In fourth place is Graham Potter who joined Chelsea during the season and receives a respectable salary of 11.9 million pounds.
He is followed on the list by the coach of Juventus, Massimiliano Allegri, who earns a salary of 11.2 million pounds per season. The new coach of Bayern Munich, Thomas A1 Tuchel, earns an annual salary of 10.5 million pounds. Next, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti earns £9.5m per season while Jose Mourinho is only ninth with £8.1m.
The biggest surprise on the list is the salary of Barcelona coach Xavi. The latter leads his team to the championship and recently even won the Super Clasico with a score of 1:2 and his salary still reaches 3.3 million pounds per season.

The salary was published in pounds because it was published as part of publications of British websites, but the picture is clear. If you are a senior coach you earn accordingly, but obviously there are more accomplished coaches who earn less than others.
