New Delhi: India’s investment in wireless internet services is expected to reach nearly US$ 250 million by 2027, according to Nokia. Meanwhile, mobile data usage in the country has tripled in the last five years.

India’s investment in private wireless networks is expected to reach USD 250 million by 2027. The report points out that mobile data traffic in India has grown 3.2 times in the last five years.

Meanwhile, the all-India mobile data usage has increased from 4.5 exabytes in 2018 to 14.4 exabytes in 2022. It revealed that average data consumption per user has risen ‘significantly’ since 2018 and will reach 19.5 GB per user per month in 2022.

Average monthly data traffic per user in 2018 was 9.7 GB. This is a growth of 19 percent by 2022. Overall, total mobile data consumption in India is expected to double by 2024, according to Nokia.
