(24News) In Punjab, the traffic police has the power to issue regular driving licenses to citizens and it is necessary to legally obtain a driving license to drive any vehicle on the road.
Traffic police can issue challans for violation of traffic rules and lack of license, driving license is issued only to those who successfully pass the practical and road marking tests within the stipulated time.
Motorcycle Driving License Fee
The fee for a one-year motorcycle driving license has been fixed at Rs 930, while a test fee of Rs 50 will be required.
Rickshaw driving license fee
The one-year fee for the Rickshaw driving license has been fixed at Rs 880, while a test fee of Rs 100 has to be deposited.
Car driving license fee
A one-year fee for a car driving license has been fixed at Rs 1,830, while a test fee of Rs 150 will be charged.
Traffic police announcement
This announcement has been made by the traffic police regarding fees and necessary documents to facilitate the citizens so that they can submit their application on time and drive legally.
Purpose of issue of licence
The purpose of issuance of driving license is to ensure safe driving on the roads and reduce the rate of accidents.
Necessary Documents
The following documents are required for a regular driving license:
Copy of National Identity Card (CNIC).
3 passport size photographs
Medical certificate (issued by an authorized doctor)
Medical fitness certificate for candidates aged 50 years or above
Application form (A)
Original Learner’s Permit (within a minimum period of 42 days)
Affix the relevant ticket documents
