Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will be sold by Toyota under its brand.
Toyota has partnered with Maruti Suzuki to sell various models in the Indian market. Maruti has recently partnered with Toyota to launch the Innova Hicross in the Indian market. While this car has been well received by the people, now, Toyota is planning to launch Maruti Suzuki Ertiga under the name Toyota Rumion.
Toyota is already selling the Rumian in the South African market. In this case, it seems that the Toyota Rumian car with the same name may be launched in India in the middle of the current year 2023, i.e. in the months of May and June. In terms of looks, it looks similar to the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. It also has the same 7 seater configuration. But, there will be some changes like grill, Toyota badge. Otherwise these 2 cars are identical.

As for the Indira, it is similar to the Maruti Ertiga. Tech features include cruise control, 6 airbags, automatic headlamps, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car technology, 6-speaker audio system, height-adjustable driver’s seat, push start/stop button, automatic AC, electronic A host of features can be offered including stability control, hill hold assist and rear parking sensors.

The car will be powered by the same 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, K15C DualJet engine found in the Ertiga. This engine churns out a maximum power of 103 bhp and a torque of 136 Nm. In terms of transmission, a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters can be optioned.

Apart from that, its major highlight is its mileage. In that respect, the manual gear box model of the Toyota Rumyan car is expected to deliver a mileage of 20.51 km per liter and the automatic gear box model is expected to deliver a mileage of 20.30 km per liter. But for the CNG option, it is said to deliver a mileage of 26.11 km per kg.
And the starting price of this Toyota Rumian car is expected to be only 8 or 9 lakh rupees. It is much cheaper than other 7 seater cars and offers high mileage, so it is likely to attract a lot of customers.
