(24News) The details regarding the salary and other privileges of the State Bank Governor have been revealed.
According to the details, the National Assembly was informed that the monthly salary of current Governor State Bank Jameel Ahmed is 40 lakh rupees while other benefits are separate, the salary of former Governor State Bank Raza Baqir was 25 lakh rupees. In a written reply to the question of Assembly Tahira Aurangzeb, it was said that the salary of the current governor State Bank is much higher than the previous governors. The salary of former governor State Bank Raza Baqir was 25 lakh rupees and the salary of the current governor State Bank Jameel Ahmed. 15 lakh more than the former governor who was appointed on August 26, 2022.
In addition to the salary of the Governor of State Bank, there are many benefits included, the Governor of State Bank is given a house rent allowance, the maintenance and furnishing of which is also the responsibility of the bank. They are also given two vehicles with driver and 1200 liters of fuel, 600 liters of petrol per vehicle per month, one vehicle is 1600cc and the other is 1800cc.
The governor is allowed to have four employees whose salary is 18 thousand rupees. The State Bank also pays the electricity, gas, water, entertainment and mobile bills of the Governor State Bank. The State Bank also pays 75% of the educational expenses of the children of the Governor State Bank. Governor State Bank perks include full medical, air tickets and club memberships along with security expenses.
