We explain how you can call hiding your number from your mobile with iOS or Android operating system
It is possible that, on some occasion, you have had to make a hidden call for whatever reason. Due to labor issues or for some other personal reason, there are times when we do not want to leave a trace. Be that as it may, you should know that your mobile phone, regardless of whether it has an iOS or Android operating system, has the option of making hidden number callsso that the other person cannot see who is trying to contact them. Instead, you will see a phrase like ‘Hidden call’ appear on your mobile screen, ‘Hidden number’‘Unknown’ or similar.
There are two ways through which it can be achieved. The first is for a single call and the second so that the functionality is permanent, as long as the user so wishes. If you want to make a hidden call in particular, all you have to do is put the prefix #31# before the contact’s phone number. This functionality is similar on both iOS and Android devices. However, in case the user has decided that he wants to make all calls while keeping his number secret, the route to be followed changes depending on the operating system.
on iPhone
In case you want to enable this feature permanently on your iPhone, you should go to ‘Settings’. Once inside you will have to go to the ‘Telephone’ section, where you will find the option to ‘Show caller ID’. So that all the calls you make are hidden, just swipe the screen and turn it off. Please note that this change es reversibleso if you ever want to stop appearing as ‘Unknown’, just walk this route again and activate Caller ID.
An Android
In Android it is solved more or less the same. You have to access ‘Settings’ and, then, consult ‘Advanced Features’ or similar where the option ‘Show my caller ID’ is included. Depending on the version of the operating system installed, three options will appear: ‘Defaults’, ‘Hide number’ or ‘Show number’.
Keep in mind that in Android the route can change depending on the brand of your device, so if you can’t find these options in your terminal, the easiest thing for the user to do is contact your operator and ask them to hide your phone from you on future calls. This process can be safely reversed later by making another call to cancel it.
