The Post Office has launched a new facility for account holders in various types of small savings schemes like PPF, Sukanya Samriti. With this new facility introduced by the post office, you can get complete information about the account you have opened from anywhere. It means that e-passbook feature has been launched for small savings schemes, henceforth customers need not activate other services like net banking and mobile banking. With this e-Passbook feature introduced by the Post Office, customers can instantly check the balance of any of their PPF, Sukanya Samriti etc. accounts from home.

In a notification issued by the Department of Posts on the 12th, ‘We have decided to start this facility with the aim of providing facilities to the people in a simple manner and simplifying the process’. People can check their account balance using this feature at any time and there is no need to pay any fee for this service. You need to link mobile number with your account to avail e-passbook facility. Also you must link your mobile number with accounts like PPF, Sukanya Samriti etc. If you don’t link the mobile number then an error will occur. You can link your mobile number to your accounts even while visiting the post office. Now here we will see how to check balance of accounts like PPF, Sukanya Samriti etc.
– Go to official website www.indiapost.gov.in or www.ippbonline.com.
– Click on the e-passbook link given on that site.
– After that click on the direct link https://posbseva.ippbonline.com/indiapost/signin
– Then enter mobile number and captcha and log in.
– Now you have to enter the OTP received on your mobile and choose e-passbook.
– Then select plan type and enter account number, registered mobile number and captcha and enter OTP to verify,
– Now you have to select any option like balance check, mini statement, full statement.
– Finally the full details of the option you have selected will be displayed on the screen.
