Who is entitled to PIS/Pasep?
The calculation of the value of the salary bonus bonus is based on the length of service registered during the base year 2022. This adjustment is the result of a delay in the PIS/Pasep schedule due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
To be entitled to the salary bonus, workers must have received an average remuneration of up to two minimum wages. The amount to be received is proportional to the period of work during the 12 months of the base year.
Those who worked throughout 2022 will be entitled to the full amount, equivalent to a national minimum wage. Those who worked for just one month will receive 1/12 of the minimum wage, and so on.
It is necessary that the employee has been informed by the employer in the Annual Social Information List (Rais) by May 10, 2023, and in eSocial by December 5, 2023. After these dates, payment will only be made on the next year.
They are not entitled to the allowance
Domestic employees, rural workers, as well as urban workers employed by individuals are not entitled to receive the salary bonus.
