Daily brisk walking is the best exercise to lose weight. Niriksha walks for 30 minutes every morning and 45 minutes in the evening, ensuring she takes 10,000 steps daily. He only focused on daily walking and did not go to the gym or do any other exercise. Still she was successful in losing weight easily. He says that maintaining consistency in doing the same type of exercise every day is very beneficial.

How do you keep yourself motivated?

Niriksha had resolved to change herself in the New Year. He thought that he had to improve himself. This thinking kept him motivated. Once you start feeling healthy and happy, nothing can stop you.

What is the hardest thing about being overweight?

Niriksha says that it is always difficult to lose weight after pregnancy. When people started telling me ‘you can’t lose weight’ I became even more determined to prove them wrong. Besides, being overweight also poses a risk of health related problems. After my weight loss, I no longer get tired so easily and feel more energetic than before.

What did you learn from weight loss?

Niriksha says, ‘It is very important to listen to your body. If you listen to your body and act accordingly, it will help you stay mentally, physically and emotionally healthy. Now I have a lot of confidence in myself and I feel more energetic and relaxed than ever before. That’s what everyone wants and yes, it makes me happy.
