It is noted that the price of a ticket for a pet is the same as the price of a ticket for luggage, the document is convenient to buy in the application together with the purchase of tickets for yourself.
“If you suddenly forgot to buy it right away – don’t worry, with the next update of the application, we made it possible to add this transport document to the already purchased ticket, without going to the ticket office for this,” Ukrzaliznytsia wrote.
What is necessary to properly organize a trip with pets:
1. On the territory of Ukraine:
– take a veterinary document with you;
– buy a pet ticket, place an animal up to 45 cm at the withers in a carry-on container or in a place for hand luggage;
– large dogs (higher than 45 cm at the withers) can be transported only if all seats in the compartment are purchased, muzzled and on a leash (in addition, you need to buy a pet ticket).
2. Basic rules for traveling abroad (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Moldova)
– mandatory presence of an international veterinary passport;
– it is necessary to have a valid international veterinary certificate on the state of health of the animal, which is issued by a veterinarian of the State Production and Consumer Service at the state border;
– small animals can be transported on all trains without purchasing seats;
– large dogs are transported in a muzzle on a hard leash, provided that all seats in the compartment are purchased.
3. Basic rules for traveling abroad (Hungary, Austria, Romania)
– mandatory presence of an international veterinary passport;
– one must have a valid international veterinary certificate on the state of health of the animal, issued by a veterinarian of the State Production and Consumer Service at the state border;
– small pets can travel with their owners in a transport container (a separate ticket must be purchased for the animal);
– large animals or animals without a transport container can be transported only in a muzzle and on a hard leash, provided that all seats in the compartment are purchased (it is still necessary to buy a separate ticket for the animal).

Depending on the state, the presence of a pet microchip, current vaccination against rabies, the current result of a serological test to determine antibodies to the causative agent of rabies, a document that the animal does not represent breeding value, a certificate of compliance of the animal container with IATA standards may be required for entry from Ukraine with an animal. , VET-1 certificate and other documents.
