Vinegar is high in acidity and is effective in removing hard water minerals and soap residue. In a spray bottle, mix together 2 cups of vinegar and 2 tablespoons of dish soap. Spray the mixture on the door. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes to do its job. Then scrub the glass with a sponge and rinse well. Use a mop to dry and get a clear finish.

If there is a thick layer of soap suds on the tile, gently scrape it off with a plastic scraper. This helps get rid of most of the buildup so you can treat the base layer of foam and make the tiles shine. After scraping, spray a product to remove suds. Rub it with a sponge and then rinse it. For a porcelain sink, you can add salt to the mixture for extra cleaning power.

You can use the same product in the bathtub that you used while showering. For another homemade solution, get baking soda. Mix enough water with about 1/3 cup of baking soda to make a thick paste. Use a sponge or microfiber cloth to rub the paste onto the bathtub. Leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse it off.
