We don’t know about you, but we regularly come across sketch videos about how cardigans “turn on” the “strict teacher” mood. There is some truth in this joke: old-fashioned models, to put it mildly, do not refresh the look. But if you try on the current cardigans, everything will change – we’ll show you how!
We sincerely believe that stylish looks with a cardigan are a task with an asterisk. Even if you go over the fashionista’s social networks, you will notice that not every fashion blogger wears these cozy “plaids” with buttons – for a reason. Yes, to be honest, not so long ago (some 15 years ago) they walked flimsy cardigans without a hint of uniform!
But now fashion has taken another historic detour and is bringing back cardigans to stores – and our wardrobes. And this time we use the new thing correctly: as you will see for yourself now, it has a huge fashionable potential!
Oversized chunky knit
Let’s start with the most body-friendly models – oversized chunky knit cardigans. Ideal for autumn, to wrap yourself in high-quality knitwear and melancholy see off the heat.
What do we wear with it? With other knitwear: ribbed long trousers, crocheted skirts (weather permitting), woven bags and large jewelry. Do not forget about balance: these cardigans are quite voluminous by themselves, which means that small earrings and micro bags will not fit here.
Preppy
Let’s not dissemble, the school aesthetics are already rather tired, but for the sake of a cardigan with a turn-down collar, we are ready to walk trapeze dresses, sundresses with turtlenecks and loafers with high socks again and again.
Instead of longsleeve
But this is a less banal option – a thin cardigan, which in the images replaces the longsleeve. The trick is simple to disgrace: instead of a turtleneck or top, add a cardigan to proven outfits. By the way, cropped models are perfect for trousers and skirts with a high waist.

And the last, but definitely one of our favorite tricks is a cardigan instead of a jacket. Everything is incredibly simple: in everyday looks, swap the jacket for a cozy knitted cardigan. Just don’t forget that it must be denser than the bottom layer, otherwise the look will “collapse.” You don’t want to get out of such a combo, like leaving a warm crib!
