To change this, TNO and Maastricht University developed a digital decision aid, the HPV Selection Aid. ZonMw granted a subsidy for the development of the site and for research into its effectiveness. The HPV-Keuzehulp site helps girls and boys decide whether to have themselves vaccinated against the human papillomavirus (HPV), the virus that can cause several types of cancer, such as cervical cancer. The online tool is geared to the individual’s question, so that they can make a choice that suits them.
