HTC, a former leading phone manufacturer that is now almost out of business, has launched a new entry-level phone called the Wildfire E3 Lite. The device, which is very reminiscent of other basic phones, offers a 6.5-inch HD+ resolution screen with a dual camera setup and a battery that is enough for two days of average use.

Wildfire E3 Lite is an even more discounted model of the original Wildfire E3 that was launched about two years ago. It is based on a 2018 Unisoc SC9863 chip with an octa-core processor and is considered outdated and weak even compared to simple models sold today. It is combined with a working memory of 3 or 4 gigabytes (RAM) and internal storage of 32 or 64 gigabytes respectively. There is also a microSD slot for expansion up to half a terabyte.

The photography setup includes a pair of lenses, the first one with a 13-megapixel sensor and the other one with a 2-megapixel macro lens. There is also an LED flash and support for artificial intelligence that recognizes the shooting scene. A 5-megapixel front camera located in a teardrop-shaped hole at the top edge of the screen.

The battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh without fast charging support, with the attached charger being 10 watts. There is also a fingerprint sensor on the side button and the operating system is Android 12.

The price has not been published but according to the specifications it is likely that it will be offered at a cost of less than 100 dollars.
